This Huali Phase II 12-inch integrated circuit production line in Kangqiao Industrial Park, Pudong New Area, Shanghai is a key chip production line listed in the national integrated circuit industry‘s major productivity layout plan, and also a major industrial project in Shanghai during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. one.
Advances in integrated circuit technology are generally measured by both chip integration and micromachining accuracy. Chip integration refers to the number of transistors contained in a single chip. Wafer sizes have grown from 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 inches to the current 12 inches, and 18 inches are currently in development. Judging from the current international production capacity, the 12-inch production line mainly produces high-performance products, which is the current mainstream construction direction.
It is understood that after the completion of the filming, Huali 12-inch collector production line is currently the most advanced 12-inch wafer foundry production line in China. It has the largest purification plant in the domestic 12-inch production line, which is in the 12-inch production line built in the same period in China. From the start of construction to the fastest-growing project, it is also the earliest production line in the national “910” project planning layout.
According to Zhang Suxin, secretary of the party committee and chairman of Huahong Group, in the next few years, the production line will gradually climb from the current monthly production capacity of 10,000 pieces to 40,000 pieces of monthly production capacity, and the manufacturing process will reach 14 nanometers. The chip products of Huali Phase II production line will cover applications in mobile communications, Internet of Things, smart home, cloud computing, CPU and artificial intelligence to further meet the demand for medium and high-end chip products in the domestic market.
The Liberation Daily pointed out that after the completion of the project, Huahong Group’s integrated circuit manufacturing capability will cover 0.5 micron to 14 nanometer process technology platforms, and the manufacturing scale will enter the top five in the world. “Process technology will enter the world’s first echelon.”
Wu Qing, deputy mayor of Shanghai, said at the production meeting that by 2020, the chip design industry in Shanghai will enter the 7nm to 5nm node, and the chip manufacturing will enter the 10nm to 7nm process. Zhang Suxin, chairman of Huahong Group, said that the company‘s current 28nm process product yield is 93-98%. In 2020, Huahong will have 14nm FinFET product production capacity, which basically meets the demand of domestic high-end chips.
